Owners Instructions
Congratulations on your purchase of OptiSight.com's high quality and unique optical neon sign! Designed for many years of trouble-free service, it will attract attention to your location and give a professional look to your office, or add a fun touch to your game room! Choosing a conspicuous place to display your new neon sign will make its' effectiveness all the more enjoyable.
Each and every neon sign leaves our factory only after being assembled and tested. If you own more than one neon sign, make sure to always match the neon tube to its' original mounting back. Since there might be slight disparities in dimensions from one sign to another, it could put stress on the tube if forced into clips that are custom set for another tube. If damage is detected upon arrival, please report it to us immediately at the toll-free 800 number provided to all our customers, or call 941-766-1533.
We now ship the neon sign in two parts to better protect the genuine neon tube in transit. Please allow enough time for both to arrive if shipped in separate boxes. We recommend disassembly for any future transportation of the sign. No tools are required to resassemble.
FOLLOW THESE EASY STEPS TO ASSEMBLE
1. Carefully unpack the black matt anti-reflective heavy duty mounting board and neon tube, being sure not to overlook the hardware (i.e., chain, eyehooks (x2), pull cord).
2. Place mounting board on waist high table with transformer (black box mounted on board with three wires coming out of it) nearest you face up so that the clear mounting clips are accessible.
3. Carefully lay out glass tubing that is in two pieces permanently connected by a single wire. Very carefully place the tube(s) in clips that are mounted on the black matt backboard. They should "pop" in easily and should not be forced.
4. Note that there are now four bare ended wires (two from the neon tube and two from the transformer). Take one transformer wire and one neon tube wire and twist them together to form a connection. Now slide the glass piece tube over the connection so that the bare wires are in the center of the glass piece.
5. Repeat Step #4 a second time to connect the remaining two wires. IMPORTANT! SIGN MUST NOT BE PLUGGED IN WHILE PERFORMING THESE CONNECTIONS!
6. Your neon sign is ready for use! Plug into any standard 110 outlet and turn it on using the transformer pull cord.
CAUTION: Do not defeat the third prong ground! Not recommended for outdoor use.
